Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, also known as Prachanda, concluded his two-day visit to Indore on Saturday and left for Delhi to attend the World Economic Forum. During his stay in Indore, he met with several political and business leaders, including Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and industrialist Anil Ambani. He also visited the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial and the Indore Management Association.
In Delhi, he is expected to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other senior officials to discuss bilateral issues and cooperation. He will also address the World Economic Forum on India and South Asia, where he will highlight Nepal's economic potential and achievements. He will also interact with the Indian media and the Nepali diaspora.
This is Dahal's second visit to India since he assumed office in August 2016. He had earlier visited India in September 2016 as his first foreign trip after becoming the prime minister. His visit is seen as an attempt to strengthen the ties between the two neighbours, which had witnessed some strain in the past due to the Madhesi agitation and the blockade of essential supplies to Nepal.
